Yeah alright, i understand that this is a market place, i'm totally aware of that i'm pretty chill with that too, but when it comes to disrupting the work of other people or making their work harder to present, i'm not down with that.
And i hate to say it, but this is becoming more like a flea market than something else with random threads popping up like mushrooms after a spring rain when a new fashion comes around and few see a dim opportunity to make few bucks out of it.
Everyone other person is making threads for anything that can be used with the word "setup" or "service" in a sentence.

Well, now its Discord..

It is quite annoying to see every here and there when something new rolls around in the forums which imo is out of place. And with that its also obstructive for the minecraft services & products in these same forums "Configurations" & "Setups" that the other people are trying to push and present. And i'm saying "trying", you should go to Setups and check the first two pages and see how many they are.

I know, i know...now everyone is going to trash comment.
"Discord are also setups, why they should not be there!", "Don't hate them for tying to make something", "This is a market and everyone can post what they can offer.."

I'm not hating..I mean i'm cool with it...chill, but as far as it goes in the right forum, Other Services.
Setups and Configurations, was meant for Mc right? We don't see any Twitch or Youtube bot setups for related minecraft channels or anything of that sort do we? Well yes of course we don't, because it is not core related to Mc really.

What i'm tying to say is that, everyone should have his place in the forums and every service has its niche here and i respect that, but please don't make the work of the rest harder by overtaking their place.

A little bit order in that sense from the staff members of the site would be highly appreciated.
Cheers!

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Maybe add a 'Certified {role}' tag which means you're qualified for that role. So you make a support ticket, send in a portfolio/proof of projects, and they either reject/accept you, idk just a suggestion.

I've already made a very popular rant about service companies regarding web development specifically but it does share a lot of similarities to your argument (which is why I won't list my points here as I said everything I needed to say in that thread), see here: https://www.mc-market.org/threads/327097/

I couldn't care less how they would push and present their product or project.
I'm just saying, "Move the Discord related threads, services post and other non related to mc configurations and setups to Other Services, and make it clear that they should stay only there". Give some space for the people that are constantly there trying to make a sell "in their own space".

Shaun this has nothing to do with companies or thread spammers. Read up .
As for your post, even if something was done for that it wouldn't matter really, if "they" would not spamm as/under a company name, they would just continue to do it the good old way. A spammer will spam. But lets not get off-topic.

I was referring to this point in your argument.

If there are a need for a product or service in a market like ours that is relatively easy to learn, there will always be a bunch of people trying to become the best at selling it. While it is a fair personal opinion to have that discord setups aren't worthy of a place on our market, while there are people buying them and people offering them I don't see a problem with them posting setups in the setups forum.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
