Youre missing the point. Its not the fonts or the typing text, its that the layout is nearly identical, everything is in practically the exact same place and a similar order as servergoat. The layout is without a doubt copied. On top of that, saying "ill remove it when I finish the new design" isnt worth anything, it should have never been used in the first place. Anyone with commense sense can see the design is extremely similar

You're also missing the fact that that design is EXTREMELY common among hosting sites in general.

Spot the differences.
Sure, the differences between these two sites are a tad stronger, but having a similar layout while being in the same business is not really a big deal.
The only thing I'll agree about is the menu having the same code and design, both with buttons where it gains a top line when hovering.

However, the overall code itself cannot be too similar, since one of them consists of a single page and another of multiple.

I will just say right now that it is not a dig at him as he is a competitor, it is the simple thought that he has the nerve to make his site the same as ours, and label it saying 'I see no similarities at all'. Sure, there are tons of sites, but really? Just after our site comes out, just after all of this happens, coincidently, he uses a CSS typewriter effect, something we used, the buttons for the pages, that we used, just plain copying..

The typewriter is a common effect and generally looks good on this kind of site. You offer the same thing, there are going to be similarities. Just how a lot of hosting sites look similar, because they are there for the same purpose.

These two have a navigation bar that actually look more alike than yours and his. That doesn't automatically mean they ripped it off. They are two professional companies, one isn't trying to sue or get DMCA on the other, because their site has a similar navigation bar. One also isn't trying to discredit the other. Because it doesn't really matter. Neither of them is going to suffer for having part of the site that looks similar.

Making 2 threads and - rep someone is a massive over reaction. I cant speak for anyone else here, but all I see is an attempt to discredit the competition. Which is something companies have done ever since companies first became a thing. Its nothing new. Just looks very unprofessional.

If you deny the above. Then why didn't you simply try to resolve it with him properly, or failing that take it to the authorities (DMCA), if you genuinely think you have a case. All this very public fuss wasn't needed, or going to help the situation.

This entire thread is like comparing Dota and League. They share a lot of basic mechanics, but in essence they're different games.

Fair enough, but I do not believe that it is an over reaction. I believe that they should change their site, and that is it. As I mentioned before, nothing personal.

Basically you're complaining that they copied your site. my point is that while they both have similar qualities, they're still unique sites, not copies of each other.
having some very minor experience in web design (just HTML/CSS with some basic PhP), and from what I know there's only a very limited number of ways to achieve something. While I'll agree the menu could have been designed differently, I believe that one is only the inspiration for the other, not a copy. It's clear that one dev looked at the site of the other at some point (not necessarily anywhere close to the development of the site they were making), and possibly made some design choices based on that.
This is a completely different level than plagiarism, however, which is what you claimed.

(Dota and League both have the MOBA mechanics, but they're not the same game, though lots of fans of 1 like to call the other a ripoff).
