Hello, if you are reading this post you are probably interested in making a skyblock server with me.
Also you probably know how to handle a server not like those 9 year olds( im sorry ) Well today
Im gonna be starting a server called TheNexus and we have phases to get thru.

At the moment. We are at PHASE ONE

Phase One:

Finding a server host fit to the budget. Im gonna need a second owner so we could talk
and find a good cheap host that fits the budget.

Phase Two:

Setting it up! First we start with the spawn and do the plugins using the Developers/Configurators
we recruited.

Phase Three:

Setting up buycraft, enjin(maybe creating something custom)

Phase Four:

Advertise

My budget is 3$. YEP You heard me right 3$
Havent bought the server yet nor chosen a host please help me.

I feel like this is a joke but I'll consider it a reasonable request.
I have a few thing I need to point out.

Your budget of $3 is very small and I hope it's monthly, at least. Honestly, you shouldn't make a budget, you should first calculate what you need, then list it out and see if you can change it around.

To my knowledge, $3 can get you maybe 2-3gb from a company the Hosting section.
You can use free plugins from multiple sources like SpigotMC or Bukkit(Curse).

I would say this is a reasonable budget if you grab a good (dedicated/virtual private) server and use the rest of the money of plugins, other development tools, legal fees, and more. Also, thank you for cutting the drama out.

Also "TheNexus" can lead to a complication with the server that shutdown. It's not cool to take over a server unless you have permission.

Are you kidding me? Seriously, $3? You're joking, right? Okay, so. If you are going to go with a host, I think the only thing you can afford is hosting it off your computer. Also, don't call other people 9 year olds when you most likely are one yourself...

You never know, this guy could be the next big server if he is dedicated and doesn't give up, just because people like you are putting him down.

Legal fees?

I would say you will use 40$ for the first 3 month of hosting and you can use a developer and get some plugins you probably won't need many if you know how to configure existing plugins efficetally. I got a really good developer that is co-owning my servers for 50% of the donations.
As of me I know how to build configure and manage so I have minimal fees on that section.
Myself I have used about a 100 so far.
Still need another 100 for advertising and for hosting tho.

So if you try to make your budget 100
Assuming you know how to build and configure you will need.
40$ Hosting for the first 3 month (OVH Vps should be fine)
30$ Probably premium plugins that you may need
30-60$ Advertising

For a store use crafting store
And for forums you can either stick with discord or use your VPS to host namlessmc which alot found to be better than Enjin and cheaper.

You will need a domain this can be from free tk domains to 7$ .Org domains

You will need a logo which can be cheap if you don't need a hand drawn one maybe idk 10$?

So yeah as I originally said 100-200
If you don't know how to build or don't know how to configure that can raise to 130-250
It can seem alot to you but it is worth it.
At the end probably donations will cover that up if you put enough effort and dedication
