Hello to all!

I've been browsing the forum since last night and noticed a lot of you guys are on a tight to limited budget and once you factored in the game server costs it leaves you a few cents/pence a month to get anything else done.

What would the community think to us providing a free sub domain name, community forum such as MyBB, PHPBB, SMF and web hosting for a little fee a month? If so what would that fee be?

Purpose of this would be to allow you to create your own gaming communities? Is this something that would serve purpose in 2020?

Perhaps something else would be better served instead such as another opensource PHP script?

Open to suggestions.

I should add to this that "I" personally am a PHP developer with over 15 years experience. Custom apps can be written. Just depends if they would be profitable enough pursue.

"cheap web hosting service" - Not at all. Most of the users here are on a tight budget and don't have a website or community for their games/clans. I was thinking of putting together a system which automatically deploys a website/community forum for as little as $1 a month perhaps. No coding, no skills required?

So what you're doing is giving a free subdomain and Webhosting for $1/month? Would you be able to use your own domain with this?

Indeed but instead of the usual stuff it would role out a website + community forum with a few clicks. This makes it quick and easy for those who have no experience in web design or web hosting.

Absolutely you could use your own domain. It wouldn't cost us any extra so it would be free to do.

Edit: The free sub-domain would be for people who just want to pay $1 a month but if they have their own domain they can use that to at no extra cost.[DOUBLEPOST=1580662022][/DOUBLEPOST]Another idea would be to deploy an online shop allowing the sale of mods etc.
