I finally made my first ever neg rep. It's one of those who copy-pastes into request threads without reading the thread. I decided to neg rep him when I saw him post on a thread 'offering' a service. Then I wrote this out on his profile rep.
He later created a convo with me stating I did not know the facts about the situation, and the user put a requesting prefix on the thread instead of offering, and later changed it. I replied with "The title prefix may have been mistaken, but the context was the same. I also noticed you comment on threads which are looking to hire for a server (which teams do not allow) or on threads where they state they do not want service teams.''
He continues to try and drive me to a corner, saying a rep wasn't necessary and I shouldn't interfere (which I can't if I see an annoying message on every single requesting thread).
When he realized it would be impossible to point out something which would be my mistake, he apologised and asked for a second chance. I did not respond to that as my phone was at low battery, and I did not bother typing that time as I was deciding to write out something long which will prevent him from repeating his 'mistake' and remove the rep.
I woke up to find this as my only neg rep, "Gave a negative reputation on something he was not apart/wasn't involved in and was not needed. I kindly asked him to reconsider yet he will not reply." This made me change my mind, and I feel like he deserves the neg rep. If he wants to repent for what he has done, he should've tried convincing me when he saw me not responding. Don't you guys think he deserves it now?
I can of course report and get it removed due to it being invalid and totally non-sense. However I'll see what you guys think about this
