Introduction

Hi. Let me just start off by saying that I would like to thank you for looking at this and taking your time out of your life to see this. It really warms my heart.

Basic Summary Of Whats Been Happening To Me: For six months, from September 2016 to this day, i've been battling a condition called Uveitis, which is an autoimmune disease in the eye, and basicially my body has a lot of white blood cells. This can be due to my body not being able to turn my immune system off and it doesnt know what to do with them, so it attacks itself, which it is attacking my eyes. It can be treated, but its not that simple. I first started with a steroid drop called Prednisolone, which worked, but eventually if i didn't get off it I would begin to have side effects. My doctor began seeing pressure in the eyes, which wasn't good so we had to comepletly get off it and start with a new medication called methotrexate, which is a shot in the arm for me, and ive been taking it for more longer than 1.5 months. Ive noticed some side effects from this medication the most, ive been feeling more down and depressed, and I see it beginning to get worse. It is a common issue and I'm just seeing if it is the medication and not puberty.

What's Causing This?

We don't know. It could have possibly been if/when i got sick. my body doesn't know how to shut off my immune system, so it doesn't know what to with itself so it attacks itself. It could have also been my stupid cat that scratched me and gave me a virus.

Some other "treatments":

I was born a catholic, and I continue to be one. I feel kind of weird because my mom has about 15-25 people praying for me. Ive been praying for myself and also for others too. But, Im very thankful for their prayers.

Good News:

This will eventually burn itself out, either way. It may take another 3-4 months though because I need to get on another medication with the methotrexate.

Thank You All. I Love Each And Every One Of You.

Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm not a particularly religious person myself, but I pray that you get better soon.

I had a friend whose white blood cells attacked his neurons' myelin sheaths, eventually paralyzing him. He was lucky to survive. While your situation appears to be a bit less severe, I know it can be very difficult to cope with.

I hope you get better! At least it isn't permanent :)

Now you have something positive to look forward to. Keep that in mind if you feel down and depressed as you said you did because of the site effects.

I understand you're trying to make a sob story and get alittle attention (Not being mean, just trying to be honest. Man to man)

Personally, I don't trust medicine. I actually choose not to take any when I'm sick or get my braces tightened dispit the pain.

Reasons for this is, your immune system weakens when it takes medicine and hand synitizer because your body can't fight the germs and bacteria and viruses as well when you have a drug helping you most of the time.

But in your case, I feel like they have some sort of surgery procedure do they not? If you haven't asked I'm sure you should go along with surgery since medicine is not always a trusted tool.

I'm not a very religious person myself, I'm very atheist so I'm not going to 'Pray' for you but I do hope everything turns out alright for you and I suggest you look into a lot of options then making a thread about it. Again not being mean I just feel like it's best to find solutions then crying about it, you know?

I know a lot of people will disagree this comment but that's because they're to sensitive to hear the truth and that's okay with me.
I don't disagree completely with your comment, you made a couple good points. I'm happy you weren't scared to voice out your opinion though that's really the only thing that matters nowadays.
