lol you don't need a backend for the need for a loading screen.
You can use a loading screen while assets load, which would look 10x better

You only need a loading page if it takes more than 3 seconds for your site to load which would most likely not happen if your site is a static page and has no backend. This isn't just me talking shit out of my ass. I asked another developer on this Discord I'm apart and he said the same thing.

What number? 3 seconds. If your website is so slow that it takes that long to load assets (JS libraries, Bootstrap, Images, Icons and more). Then you'll need loading page but that isn't going to take 3 seconds to load unless it's just host.

People usually add loading pages to their site if it takes the site a while to load. 3 seconds or something. It's just a random number. I don't really know what's the point you're trying to make but ok. You don't add a loading screen to a page that takes like half a second to load. You add loading screens to pages that have to send a request. Go out and fetch that data. Wait for the data to return which could take a while, and make the server wait until the operation (Fetching data from the database) is done if whatever you are using for your web server is synchronous. Not for something that loads HTML, CSS, and JS files instantly as soon as you visit the site.

I think the effect, unless needed on the page due to an overload of resource loading, should only be on the front page. I personally really like loading effects like this on sites, but think they should only be used on the first page as it might get a bit much on every page. Especially when you realize that it is not used to really load in resouces, but on a timer to look good.

I agree with that. Loading pages look good when you first visit the site but when you have them on every page. Something is wrong.

Usually, when the internet connection isn't too impressive, loading a megabyte or more of images and other assets can take a little while. Better to have a loading screen than to have each asset load in one by one. That's the reasoning. I don't really agree with it, but that's the reasoning.

I don't have a problem with loading screens on the front page. Those are aight. I have a problem with people put them on every single page you go to. That's where it gets annoying to impatient people like me.
