The site died ages ago. The block of selling MC accounts/most MC stuff was the final hit.

Surprisingly, and according to Mick, traffic hasn't actually decreased all that much. For me, it's more that the community has suffered. 2015-2017 were the glory days, after that, it just started going downhill. I remember browsing on MCM for months before creating an account cause I never actually needed to post something. People were nice and welcoming, just starting out so no one (well, there are a few exceptions :/) was incredibly cocky or rude, they gave helpful and direct advice, not everyone was just money grabbing grubers, the market wasn't completely oversaturated, etc. It has changed all so much. I personally don't dislike that they got rid of the account market section. It was shady asf a lot of the time. Spend $2k on an account just to get it pulled...

I agree with you, I have a lot of ideas for stuff I want to offer on here that I simply can’t because of the rules on this site. In my opinion, there are way too many hosting companies, service teams and wannabe skyblock servers. Nothing new unfortunately, and when someone does come out with something new, somebody else will create that same thing and undercut the original creator.

I joined MC-Market at like the end of 2017 and I would agree that the traffic kind of dipped after the whole Minecraft accounts thing happened. But I would say that I have seen a lot of new people joining MC-Market in 2020 and like till now, so I wouldn't say that MC-Market will die or something.

Like it will most definitely become the old thing and for most people MC-Market is and will be that nostalgia place where they met people, made friends or even earned there first dime from if you know what I mean. I would say that MC-Market needs a new direction and path as currently it's just all over the place and kind of thrives because of no competition. So if there were like new competitors, I would say that there would be a new fresh feeling and things that would make it better. Like less censoring and some other stuff.
