Thoughts on AirPods?

Too overrated in my opinion, can't tell the difference between fake and real, they are everywhere. Is it even worth flexing or even flexible if so much abundance?

It is definitely not exclusive to California. I see kids all over with them in and it has made Apple become even more of a social status identifier. I think they are ridiculous, over priced and just stupid in the way they have evolved.

I've used airpods since they were released and I tend to use them a lot while I sleep or am on a phone call, but my bose headphones at any other time.

I had enough money for Air Pods but purchased PowerBeats3. I'm a runner and I work out a lot, Air Pods fall out still and are so easy to lose for me. Mainly it's just overrated and the amount of people who purchased it and use it to flex drew me away even more haha.

I'm looking forward to the release of the PowerBeatsPro, they look really good and I'll most likely purchase one of them.

I genuinely don't like it when people flex airpods. It is like a bunch of other premium earbuds, as the price point for airpods isn't even as much as some people spend on earbuds with an even better quality going $200+
If you are buying them to flex, please don't.
Otherwise, I have really enjoyed my airpods since I bought them because of the connection between my devices and that simply is it, they just work well and are what I need. I enjoy the battery life and the quality isn't bad.
If you have an apple device it is worth looking into, otherwise, I wouldn't say so.

I bought AirPods when they were first released and really enjoyed them. After about a year of using them the right AirPod completely stopped working and wouldn’t connect and when I took it to the Genius Bar at the Apple store they tried to charge me $80 to fix whatever the problem was or replace it for full price.

Rather buy some galaxy buds, be somewhat unique or cop on some Louis Vuitton pods and go broke but that's what society has come down to. Spend all your money on clothes, go outside & flex, come back home to being broke.

I'm somewhat an audiophile. I like having headphones where I can actually hear the sound: bass, treble, etc. My mom has airpods which is fine for her. She's not like my dad or me so the sound quality isn't a priority for her. My dad and I have the idea that if we're gonna spend over $100 on headphones, they better sound damn good. I have the Sony WH-1000xM2 which I love. The M3 is the same as this but with a better mic and few extra things but sound and ANC is completely the same. I highly recommend either of these if you're looking for some headphones (not earbuds).

When I tried airpods, I was pretty disappointed, but obviously, it's not a fair comparison from headphones to earbuds. However, the features airpods offer aren't worth the price it's at. No equalizer (not the apple setting but an actual one you can customize), no noise canceling, sound leakage is really bad, no touch controls, not enough punch in the bass, and fall out when you run, at least for me. The battery doesn't last that long. Might not be an issue for others but 5 hours seems sub-par to me, especially if I'm on a long flight, 5hrs won't do. Those are things I spotted that seemed pretty disappointing to me. Although it is very easy to carry, it's also very easy to lose. I'd say it's more in the $110 range for what it has.

I don't know why people think airpods are a big deal. There are so many better alternatives that are ACTUALLY worth the price: Jabra Elite Active 65t (best alternative), Samsung Galaxy buds (more known alternative), or even Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless (good 3rd option). If Apple added a bit more to the Airpods 2 that actually made it feel like a version 2, then it'd be more suiting: waterproof, noise canceling, touch controls, and fix sound leak issue. Some of these "flexers" tried telling me their airpods are better than my headphones. Let's just be clear about this 40mm sound drivers > 2 tiny earbud sound drivers. Don't believe me? Head over to best buy and try out the Sony WH-1000xM3 or Bose QCII.

Also when you have an Android with an LDAC port, airpods won't really take advantage of this. Another thing, Apple has an issue with making their customers stay within the Apple ecosystem, a reason I stay away from Apple products (iPads are an exception). Obviously a good marketing strategy but when you try to listen to Airpods on an Android, you'd think you got a bad rip-off version. Apple purposely made airpods sound terrible on Android. Don't believe me? Try it out sometime... You'll see.
