High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

IMO they're screwed
That's the general implication. I think that's what the point of this is here, not the fact that Huawei could have ties to the Chinese government.

Make of it what you will, I think it's an incredibly stupid decision to make. Huawei have made good phones for years, and continue to do so. Doing this doesn't do anything, for anyone.

If you don't like my interpretation, I'd like to note that I don't see any other Chinese phone being blacklisted. Also, say bye-bye to OnePlus if this stuff continues the way it's going.

Aww, I was gonna get a Huawei phone. I saw this earlier though, I think it's pretty stupid. Like, fair enough if the government wants to block it, but they've done the same with, for example, Kaspersky antivirus. Has that been shunned by Intel, Google, etc? No, in fact Google even includes it in VirusTotal. I don't see why Huawei in particular is being outed.

The U.S. has become very paranoid of the Chinese government and are taking measures such as these to not become vulnerable.

Huawei has been banned from Intel’s architecture AND ARM’s architecture - imo no chance of comeback now. They are also banned from Windows

I believe when I was watching some videos to catch up on what this is, they said that Huawei has been working on its own OS and App Store to combat being cut off from google. Apparently they anticipated this. They have 3 months of parts of things they needed already bought. There are other Chinese companies that are making the things that the companies that Huawei was working with. I didn’t hear much on what they are doing to combat being banned from intel and windows so I don’t know if there are plans on that.

Huawei is still pretty rich and huge I believe so with the planning they have done for this and the money they have to make it work, I think they stand a chance. Only time will tell.

They can’t be working on their own architecture though because that takes years and there are no other big architectures out there that phones use. No phone without a processor. They have no prior experience with that either.

Being banned from ARM and Intel was the nail in the coffin

Too much paranoia for a matter of 'national security'? It feels more like a power play by the US to feel powerful against China. This is benefiting no one and stifling the economy of both countries.

Huawei is an important asset to China to battle out in the technology market. No doubt, Huawei has already has been developing their own architecture and chips prior to this ban for a long time. Even China has their own interest to reduce dependency on the US and run everything by themselves. I think they'll be fine after a while, plenty of fish in the market. China will not let Huawei become insolvent.

I don't like this pointless squabbling between countries as it only hurts us as consumers. However, China makes it extremely difficult for various multinationals to enter their market. No Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Discord, Twitch, Reddit, Tumblr etc. This isn't anything new, but Huawei has only gained so much attention from the media and all these heinous allegations.
