Hey Gavin, I'm a PC editor and a cinematographer, as you know, but I'd like to give you some tips;
1) Use different color correction. Make the color grading relative to the enviorment of the game your playing, and the music. I would have just put a light glow effect, you don't need light flares or the orange like color grading
2) Your clip. If you can, get black ops II for PC, its easier to edit to, because you can just make your own clips and record them, and there's a lot of mods out there you can use to make your edit look even better (fog, DOF, ect.)
3) You need to learn velocity. Once you sync it up with the music, it looks very nice and clean.
I have a few examples for you, which are for black ops II, which i have made:
My color correction corresponds to the song, trying to make it uplifting, so i chose a glowing, more saturated color correction. Also, all my clips sync up to the song, so it makes it look very nice.
Another example:
For this edit, I used some disorient-like effects and a dark color correction, as well as a chroma key'd out black sky to set the mood for the edit, which corresponds to my song, edgy.
As for what I can tell you about this one, its how all editors start. It took me about four years to get to this point of editing, and I could learn to improve if I wanted to, and I should, as its my hobby.
I always use T3C as an inspiration to create edits (a comminunity of editors all around). It may help you to.

Just a simple one but I think for the beginning instead of reusing the same clip you should have got some cinematics. If you don't wanna record them yourself you can find them on YouTube with free downloads.
