Well yesterday was a sad day when I went to watch a movie on MovieTube. It seems Hollywood has finally taken the company to court over their mass piracy. Thousands are angry with both the movie studios who have millions of dollars already and the United States government who are imposing their laws on other nations citizens.

Is piracy illegal within the United States? Yes!

Is United States law enforced in other nations? No!

So in reality here the United States government needs to just stop on this one. They can't just impose their laws over everyone in the world.

So if anyone has used movietube and enjoyed it what are your thoughts? Also if anyone has a movie website please send.

Yes they can, they operate in a fascist manner, who is going to quarrel with them unless it's another country of similar economical and military power?

As for the website....there's still loads that will be similar to it and I wouldn't be surprised if it went up again. The Pirate Bay founders went to jail for 1 year I believe and their site stayed online, it still is to this date accessible.

(These websites let you download, not stream)
Yifytorrents - where I get all my movies, they're slow sometimes but they upload a few every day and then. Only 720 or 1080. | yts.to
Piratebay - self explanatory. | URL depends on where you live and you may need a proxy or vpn to access the site properly
Kickasstorrents - Great for Ireland or UK. | ^^
(Streaming website)
Letmewatchthis.com | Don't really use this so I don't know, only really heard of it.

Then there's thousands more everywhere. I wouldn't be too upset :p

Not the first time something like this happens anyway. It happened with MegaUpload when it started to be full of pirated programs/series/movies. An alternative will come out, not like they've banned all the websites like that.

Correct, the U.S. isn't allowed to do that, and they haven't done that either.

It's called the Berne Convention.
The majority of countries got together, amended their own copyright laws to follow the guidelines of the convention, then all signed to recognize each others copyright laws and essentially create an international copyright.

There's also plenty of other treaties about internationally enforcing such laws, but I'll let you do your own research on that.
Just look into WIPO.

I have heard and learned of these things. The only reason I have been led to believe this is happening is because the owners of MovieTube specifically said that no such laws applied to their country. However nobody knows who they really are or where they live. It's always a possibility that the country they are in has no treaties or is not apart of any international groups forming copyright laws.[DOUBLEPOST=1437922788,1437922639][/DOUBLEPOST]

A lot of those streaming websites want you to input a credit card which draws serious red flags. Also I don't think people really care what the United States says. That's why most the people who don't live in the USA atm are blaming America for this.
