I know what TID stands for but how do I get my tid and what is it used for?

transaction id
its the id of the transaction of purchasing the mojang account
it could be in your email
if its not there, check paypal
then check credit/bank payments for it
if neither of those 3 are it, it doesn't exist.

Is it the number on the back of your minecraft card thingy I bought from the shops like 5 years ago??

TID simply means Transaction ID, it is a unique label given buy mojang after you purchase your minecraft account should look something like this; example:123456 . It is used to verify yourself and that you're the owner of the account. You can find your TID in your emails, simply go to your emails and find the original receipt.
