Big vouch! Worked with her lots in a past and helped her start up and she's really creative and great to work with! Definitely one of my favorite newcomers in my 3 years on this site and i'd highly recommend her!

There's no reason why people should still be asking new members on the site to "prove themselves" by offering free work. Reputation is built overtime by working with actual clients. People shouldn't expect free work from artists just because they're new it's a very counter productive way to grow the community.I'd recommend offering 2-3 vouch copies to reputable members. It'll get you at least a little bit started in the community
If I was an artist, I'd be like "fuck that". People are here to make money, so If he doesn't wanna do some VCs (which is really just free stuff to someone) then it's fine. While I agree, they only have 3 examples. Most people aren't going to trust someone with their money while they only have a small number of work examples.
Yeah definitely the more work the better. That'll come with time though so I'm looking forward to seeing more posted! While I agree, they only have 3 examples. Most people aren't going to trust someone with their money while they only have a small number of work examples.
appreciate this!Wow, I love looking at this I felt so much nostalgia for some reason. Very nice thread
Key words there are "If I was an Artist" And even since your not an artist you should still understand that more examples of works = more clients.[DOUBLEPOST=1531784463][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm gonna have to agree with carstonia about you needing to have more examples of work to show especially with that pricing if you want to be able to get more clients faster. If I was an artist, I'd be like "fuck that". I would use imgur to host your images, its a much better alternative than using mediafire.just finished a new piece! i'll be adding more as time goes on![]()
more examples of works = more clients.
Finally, someone who understands the value of an artist's work and doesn't use "VC" as a way to get free shit.I would use imgur to host your images, its a much better alternative than using mediafire.
I do not entirely agree with this comment. The concept of more work is to show your experience and consistency, however, if you fill your portfolio with all your work and a client asks, "Hey, may I see some more work" you don't want to say no. It is best to have quality > quantity as another designer stated. I would interpret this as only post 50-75% of your best work and leave your 25% and less quality work in the archive so, you will be prepared when the client asks. Another way to think about it is, if you fill your portfolio with all your work, your client might not even buy; it is like writing. When you write you do not want to fill your message or essay with a ton of information that isn't needed, its a sign of poor writing. So if the artist can't filter out the bad work do not expect the client to be impressed by it and buy.
As moon10k said about VC's, I think they are a bad idea. If I was a new designer(which TimTam doesn't seem to be that new to design judging by the quality of his/her work) I would do work for non-profits and people idol, ultimately choosing who I want to create art for and not the other way around as this depletes the value of their work.
Couldn't agree more. I wish more people on this site realized this.I would use imgur to host your images, its a much better alternative than using mediafire.

thank you so much!Due to the unique design of the thread itself, and the style the artist provides. I really think that should be enough proof to show they are who they say they are. I'm sure TimTam is willing to provide proof if there was any concern of legitimacy.
Good luck Tim, excited to see what you are able to do.
