Hello, this post is to address to staff in general, earlier today, I received 5 warning points for thrashing thread when it wasn't a big deal, it was a huge misunderstood because I even apologized for a mistake I made. I won't named the moderator who sanctioned me, but I'd just like to point it out, staff shouldn't use their own judgement, because it creates inconsistencies, staff should base their moderation on symbols(e.g if user is not cooperating to the original thread idea, that'd be breaking the rule, and negative feedback would be accepted as negative does NOT always equal thrashing). Why taking the effort to do a document with all cases to make it equal? Because once upon a time, I was starting a java development services when a user, Riches, came and thrashed me, I was an easy target, 13 messages, 1 rep and 3 reactions, what happened is that he told me I was a disgrace to the market fr offering low prices and that I should leave the forums as my services would be bad quality. After I received a few PMs from clients, I got friends with 2 of them and they both told me that Riches messages made them hesitate to take me or not at one point, so clearly my post didn't get full potential because of one message. Of course I reported the message for a week later getting this notification: Your report has been denied: Message not breaking any rules. I was just heart broken. Now seeing my posts that were just a huge misunderstood with no thrashing intentions (and the thread wasn't thrashed after all), seeing them removed and my 5 warning points left me in this big injustice feeling, I think it's important for staff to be consistent and to use the less personal judgment as possible, In some super rare cases you may use it, but not just be based on judgment.

I am also a hockey referee, rules were written in a way to make the referee call everything they have to call without hesitating, so no judgement really needed, that's just a small note to show how mcm needs a better moderation system.

I hope you guys could all agree with me and feel that injustice feeling.

You're just making the situation worse for yourself lmao. If you are in the right the warning points will be removed in support tickets.

This thread started off discussing how you got warned for trashing another user's thread and quickly devolved into a mindless ramble.

Here's what you should do from here on out: If you get a warning point for breaking the rules, just accept it and move on. Making a thread telling the staff to do their jobs better or telling them how they're wrong will amount to nothing and it makes you seem like an attention seeker trying to start problems. Also, staff members aren't robots and should be using their own judgement when making decisions.

I saw the report and here's my two cents on this matter.
There is a difference between slander/trashing and a negative review.

One is baseless accusations damaging another user's reputation.
The other one is from an objective experience, hence it is a credible statement.

We will issue points for the former, not the latter. I would not have done anything different to what the other moderator did. There is a huge difference between subjective and objective comments.

That said, even if you disagree with another moderator's ruling on the account of inconsistency, nothing stops you from making a support request or simply asking the moderator within the PM for a second opinion.

how am i harassing him? i simply stated the grammar was terrible thus it’s harder to read. i understand not everybody’s first language is english, billions of people can’t even speak english.
