Once I build of my rep and my trustworthiness to other members in the community
I'll start MM'ing!

So I need tips and tricks for what it takes to be a successful and chill MM.

Thanks <3

Fast responses
If someone stops responding for a few minutes tell them, "Long times between responses will render me unable to do this deal, you'll have to find someone else" so that they stop taking forever to respond
Time wasters get neg reps

Rep means nothing.
when I choose a middleman I tend to gravitate towards mm with higher rep. Just a way of knowing they've done it before. not saying its right just my opinion

Rep means nothing.
Rep does mean something, although you should always look at other aspects of the user (Age of account, vouches, reactions, what he/she sales/does, and so on).

To the OP
Everyone is a "Middleman" anymore, if I'm being fully honest there really isn't a need for anyone else. At this point being a middleman is just another form to build rep quickly, but if you really want to become a middleman just keep building yourself up in the community.

'Good guy, very kind in shoutbox.' I saw someone with like 30 reputation ratings of this nature. Garbage.

Easy to get 50 of those. I should have specified, look at the actual rep before saying, 'this person looks reputable.'
If rep was only for deals it would be a more true indicator of the reputation of a user.

The number isn't as relevant as the content in the reputations, obviously. Ivain only has 50-ish reputation but I'm pretty sure that the content of his 50 reputation is more high quality than other people who have 150+ rep.

Reputation is still useful and very important, and hopefully with the reputation update the reputation left on you will better reflect your actual reputation within the community.

It's useful, it just isn't a true indicator of the actual reputability of a user. There are so many more factors that have to be taken into account when determining reputability and having that little green number next to users' names isn't good for new members who don't know what to look for in someone who could actually be trusted in handling their goods.

I will have to look at the reputation update, didn't know there was an update. Hopefully I'll be able to report more shit ratings.

Reputation update isn't out yet, will hopefully be here by the end of the month.
