I'm starting a puppy-themed minigames server, and I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to get financial support.

Documenting a proper plan with exactly what you financially need is a start. Also, a proper presentation to an interested investor is key if you need someone to start up this server.

Totally agree on what Jordyn said here. You can follow this sort of structure when posting an investor needed thread

1) Present a brief description of the ideas
2) List what you bring to the table
3) say what you want them to bring to the table
4) Maybe even talk about your past experiences to give credibility to your capabilities

As people have mentioned making a plan of action before hand is necessary, having a valuable skill and not just an idea would help, acting professional yet friendly, not adding unexpected expenses in the last second, if possible including some of your own money, and lastly you should be careful which investors you work with, not all of them are looking to help you or the server but are in it for a malicious reason
