I've started playing Rocket League recently, I'm at level 23. I play on PC and I need some tips when playing. Like how can I improve my timing when im hitting the ball in the air or off the wall. I always miss.

2000+ hours here and get ready for some honesty.

Just play the game. Seriously.

RL is another one of those games kinda like Rust where you can have over 1k hours and still be a noob.

Just keep playing and learning. That's the secret.

There's really no shortcuts.

1500 hours & champion ranked, here are my tips...

Like Hillary Clinton said just play the game - as if you utilise your time correctly the more you play the better you will get, but also try using custom training maps to improve on skills which you know need improving. The main thing in Rocket League you need to focus on is your rotations and consistency, and consistency can be improved by doing drills in custom training and freeplay repetitively.

Rotations come with time and common sense, if your team mate is going for a ball, you'll wanna be either getting in an offensive position for the team mate to make a pass to you (if he is unchallenged or is beating the opponent challenging him), or at a lower level where players don't go for passes often (which I assume you are at), or your team mate is being beaten to the ball - you should be rotating behind your team mate ready to make a save or clear the ball if he gets beat or messes up.

There are rocket league coaching discords where you can either send high level players your replays and clips and they will give you tips on how to improve, or they will use alternate accounts to play with you and teach you in real time. A good example of such a discord is https://www.rlcd.gg/

Another way you can learn new mechanics and ways to play is through youtube, a video I suggest you watch as a beginner is below as it explains key parts of the game which may be helpful to you.

Hope this can be helpful to you, add me on discord (subbotted#5560) if you ever want to play and I can help you myself :)
