Spigot plugins are max $20. Most are $5-10. If people can afford to pay half those prices, I'm sure they can afford to buy the real thing.

That's exactly what this sounds like. There's no way he'd offer 1 time sales of original plugins even if copied for such low prices.

What would I gain out of buying the actual thing, and re-selling it? I would lose money because I'm re-selling it for %50 or the original price.

EDIT: It wouldn't only be a one time sale. If another person requests to have the same paid plugin for half the price, I'd use the one that I already recoded.

Exactly, you can buy the plugin and sell it to a bunch of people lol.

There's this program that I know of... Where it allows you to show a video to a person once, then it deletes it.
I can record myself coding it and use that program to show it to the user. But a one time view so he/she can't copy it and send it to people.

Or you could just make unique plugins rather than copying others Just a thought. There is a much bigger market for people looking for private plugins.

Well re-making Spigot plugins for 50% was just an idea of mine. Guess it wasn't as good as I thought :/
Still open for anyone who still wants one cheaper though.

Wouldn't you rather wait for a sale on a plugin?.. alot of developers have sales on their plugins and if you try to contact one and ask if you can get a discount because you can't afford it they most likely will.

If you want to remake FactionsUUID or ObsidianDestroyer for half the price and sell it then good luck. It's GPL so feel free to read code and fork it. I price based on how much time I put into projects. If you really are good enough to redo either of those plugins at close to the same quality then you could make a fuck ton more money developing privately for servers.

You can go by that mindset for practically every deal on MC-Market. The way I do deals is such as the following:
I split the payment into 5 parts. The client first pays the first and initial payment. Then, as I complete parts of the project I show them the source and the outcome. Until I'm done with project and I've received the full payment.
