The player can't EVEN MORE WHEN THE GAME STARTS and when they die, the game doesn't end because everyone died at once.

Have you tried using a version that's compatible with your server's version? You might have an advanced or a version that's just way too old. Some of your plugins might be incompatible with this, but that is a very rare case. Try the version to see if it works. You might also want to paste your startup log into a pastebin so someone can check if there are any errors.
