Yes, I never said it was a foolproof system. If it was this thread wouldn't exist. I personally don't buy enough stuff on here for me to notice, so I can't say too much.

I made a guide specifically to help people like you avoid the most obvious scams. you're free to read it, link's in my sig. I for one have not been actually scammed ONCE since I started following the rules and tricks I listed in that guide. Sure, I have had people stop responding after I completed work, but that's my own fault for not generally accepting payment before I start building. So I might recommend you read it.

Ive only been scammed once the past year I've been here. A kid chargebacked $600 for a server I sold him. I won the chargeback, regained access of everything as domains, logins etc as soon as he chargebacked. Then I sold it again for like $300. Ez profit
(And the scammer obv got banned)

Rather than basing your transactions purely on ratings. I would look at the users vouches and transaction history. If they have none sort out a way to go through with the transaction such as a middle man or selfy (I am sure there are others out there.) I personally have only had 3-5 transactions on MCM but this is how I do things.

what Zak said. A middleman or go 50/50 where the buyer sends half the money, the seller sends the product and the buyer sends the other half. Most scammers I encounter are unwilling to send money in the first place.

It isn't that hard to avoid being scammed, just only do deals with people with decently high reps (>100) and you will most likely be alright. That's what I've mostly done and its worked well.

Good point, but there are still good people out there without rep not saying i'm any good, but I wouldn't ever scam and I don't even have close to 100 ratings so... I say maybe talk to the people on some communication or some how I guess that helps and pay 50% and 50% after your order.
