So recently I was working with someone on a server together - they were a developer. I did all I could for the server and he covered the development of everything server related. However, during the week or 2 we were working on this specific server, he tells me that he doesn't feel like I'm trusted. He told me that "Everything seemed too good to be true, you are amazing like probably the best at what you do that I've met, so it made me feel suspicious that something wasn't right.".

As an overthinker, this made me feel so shit about myself. I've always tried to do my best AT EVERYTHING. I try to do good all the time, and apparently that is not considered to be a good thing. Please help me in this situation, because this really made me feel like an asshole. Did I do something wrong?

Sometimes people can be given too much of a good thing.
What do you mean by that? Did I do something wrong? Can I do something better next time?

He probably worked with to many unmotivated people before. I tried to make a server once and tried to get developers and they always developed for one day and then they quit and never replied to me again. I would think like him if I would get a good developer now that always works.

This doesn't make sense though. When we started working on it, we didn't have anything except for the art and domains. He saw me do the discord server for it from the ground up as well as all the art for twitter, etc. I used all my knowledge to do everything I could for the server.

Perhaps he just has trust issues. I could see acting overly nice as a suspicious thing (not saying you are, your probably a genuine person) I don't him or the situation so I really could do is assume things a common thing people do is try to be on people's "good side" and screw them over at the end which he could've maybe thought with you? Don't feel bad about yourself try talking to him and maybe see what makes him think your not trustworthy.

Similar to what Grins was saying, you have to remember that there are people online who practically scam for a living. I know from my past experiences, trusting people online is a big risk. I've been scammed out of things many times and there really isn't much "justice" behind it. It's similar to the saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." He probably saw it as unusual, and thought it would be safer to leave now than face any possible consequences ahead of time.
