Too much RAM being eaten up on my server! Help

Guys, I need some help fixing some RAM issues.

My server has 14GB and ram usage ranges from 2GB - 7GB. My player base is small ranging from only 10 - 30 players!

Specialist only who knows exactly what he's doing. You will need premium/supreme also

https://negafinity.com/pricing. Negafinity allows you to monitor tons of things such as resource usage, and you can easily find the problem.

yes but the price is very very good... for 400 per month you can only the top minecraft plan.

Java using RAM isn't a problem to start with. Its just what it does. It uses memory, then when it gets a bit high it uses garbage collection to cut down again. The process then repeats. The more RAM you give Java the more it will use. It was built to take advantage of the resources it was given.

But anyhow, if this was a huge problem. It would be better and also far cheaper to just to fix the problem. Not pay $400 for a 128GB dedi. Which is actually alot, when you can get a decent one from an actually reputable company for around half that.

What server core are you using? Cauldron? Sponge? Vanilla? Bukkit? Spigot?
Is there any GC on?
What are your JVM flags?

GC is garbage collector. Is a feature from Bukkit (which is also in Paperspigot) that collects unused resouce from your server RAM. Probably is your issue. Check the bukkit.yml file for this feature. Google is your friend for this.

JVM is the arguments your server use for start. This is a bit more advanced. If the gc doesnt work for you, take a look around JVM arguments.

Ingame do /gc and see how it goes
I'd change both values for 350~
And check if theres an option to enable it.

That seems more like a hard drive issue. It seems as if the hard drive cannot keep up with all the new chunks loading, entities, etc.

Solved most of the issue. Will be working with him still to make sure everything is A-ok though.
