I accept critiques that help enable me to make a difference on the website. Saying something is bad does nothing without a constructive way to potentially improve it. Good ideas are implemented. Trash posts are not critiques that promote change which is why I disagree with them most of the time.

Telling you that your website looks like all the others is a pretty good critique, not like they just told you "it's shit".

They are able to suggest changes to make it more useful feedback. Saying something is bad is useless without giving the reasons on why they believe it, and how they'd suggest to fix it. Otherwise, I am just guessing what they think is the reason for it looking too similar to others.
Another fact to this is just because I wasn't going to invest more money until I saw it was as successful as it is now in its second month.

For example, one could say that they believe if I changed the header around then maybe it could help to solve this issue. Even if they gave a list. You are missing the point man. Context is everything, and a general statement to a whole website doesn't really provoke change. If people are commenting on the effort to help the website be more unique, then direct feedback would be more useful then saying 'this is generic'. I want the criticism, I just want it to be useful. General statements don't help me.

Another listing website has done this and the SEO for the website has boosted them to the top of various search terms because of the added content. To see the impact it has made. Even if it looks like 1000s others but has a huge traffic compared to these others - it works and is a nice platform to list your server.

Honestly I can't imagine how different toplist can be these days with so many of them in this niche. If list has charts, shows players count it just does what ever other toplist should do. Do you want to see sparkles and fireworks in the background to make it more unique?

I've done over 100 toplists for many different people and trust me I seen it all.
