Total shoutbox post count not adding up

I check my total post count in "View top chatters" and it said I was at 3048, its weird because I remember my count being higher. I check a few moments later and its bumped down to 3046, and then someone says its at 3300 (which is my true post count).

I believe that the way that this work is that it only keeps 100 days of data, so anything from more than ~3 months ago gets deleted. The 'All Time' totals in chat aren't accurate, but the other totals are.

Since this is known but just not worth getting custom development for, I'll move it to the bug report archives.
