Total Network is currently looking for a talented developer who is able to be committed to the long-term future of our network. We are looking for one developer.​

Requirements:​

  • At least 2 years of Java experience required, more is recommended.
  • At least 1 year of Bukkit experience required, more is recommended.
  • You must be able to use Maven and Git.
  • Code samples to show your experience. We will conduct a code review and maybe you will undergo a Java code test to determine if the code quality is sufficient for us.
  • Recommended: Previous work experience and verification.
  • Must utilise good conventions in code.
  • Good communication skills and work ethic (constantly committing changes, providing status updates, avoiding procrastination).
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be dedicated to the network, and able to put in a fair amount of hours per week.
  • Previous BungeeCord experience is highly recommended.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MySQL is a must, advanced knowledge is highly recommended.
  • Experience with managing a Linux server is recommended.
  • Experience with NMS/ProtocolLib is recommended.
  • Previous experience with HTML & CSS is recommended.
  • Experience with PHP is a plus.


The network is currently offering $400 - $500/month for your services at the server. The exact payment( between $400-$500 ) will be determined by the quality of your application & how many "recommended" requirements you match.

If you are a new Developer, and don't have too much experience, you can apply for an internship position. For this position, you will not be payed, but you can gain experience.​

When did you start coding?: Some time around July of 2013, I started using Code Academy (JavaScript) then heard about java and how I could transfer over to minecraft so I continued with Java only from August of 2013 till now.

Do you have TeamSpeak 3?: Yes

How much experience do you have with GIT?: Um on a scale of 1-10, Git's not hard so 9

How much experience do you have with Java?: 1-10 9, I mess up on naming conventions sometimes when I code for myself cause I don't think about it but I would say I can do almost anything if I take time and think about it so 8.5.

How much experience do you have with the Bukkit/Spigot API?: 1-10, 9 -- Like I said I can do almost anything if I try.

How much experience do you have managing a linux server?: Yes, I have setup 3 dedicated boxes from scratch in the past. 1-10 10 -- Not very hard, and I can just look up whatever code I don't know

How much experience do you have with NMS Code?: None really.

How much experience do you have with web development(HTML & CSS + PHP)?: Kinda nerdy but I went to a coding camp. There I learned HTML and CSS. Not really anything with PHP tho. So HTML & CSS 1-10, 4 and Php 0... Sorry

Do you have any experience in other programming languages?: Yes; Java, Html, CSS, Python, C++, and C#

Code samples: Um. I can show you examples at a later time. I don't want to public post the code.

Previous work at other servers & verification: Well, I have worked for McPvp Smash as a JR. Dev and fixed bugs, then I worked for MineHQ, from there one of their head admins contacted me with StoneSworders and I was working on his soup server that he was going to put up but never got put up. And a couple small servers (Encorepvp, CompleteHCF, RisingHcf, PrimeHCF, ItsMonkay's server he was going to put up)

How many hours a week are you able to dedicate to developing at our network?: Well, since I am home schooling which will take 4-6 hours a day. So say I wake up at 12 and do school till 4 -- I have to atleast 2 am.

Why should we choose you?: Well, I am a 14 year old well trained, knowledgeable in coding and in managing a large scale network. I have past experience with large scale networks and I meet almost every qualifier except for like NMS.

What do you mean by "Yes" on the how much experience do you have questions?
