No problem with people having a conversation about politics but on a MINECRAFT market place really...
Just an FYI honey, this isn't just a Minecraft marketplace. Also, you seemed very distraught by someone sharing their opinions on the president, weather their from the US or not. Sounds like you're eager to correct someone else's political standpoint just because it doesn't match yours.

There’s a pretty good chance Biden will win the nomination at the DNC this July. How do you think an election between him and Trump will go?
Tbh I like what trump is doing but I disagree with a few things, But I'm not about to get in a political argument on a Minecraft selling form when I cant even vote LMAO, But with I think he might be here till 2024

Looking at Joe Biden on the other hand, I constantly see clips of him slurring his speech, saying something wrong, mixing up words, mixing up his wife and his sister on stage, etc etc. I hate to talk about things other than policies, since that is what matters, however people see this stuff and question if he is suitable to be president.
If this mattered to people nearly as much as we think it does, Trump wouldn't have been elected. His opposition didn't take him seriously, and plenty of those that don't participate in our elections (by choice, due to young age, or by fact of being out of country) didn't hesitate to make a meme out of him. Because to them, his entire demeanor was laughable. But it didn't matter the people who heard him and supported him.
… and automation will continue replacing jobs which it can
No doubt. I really liked Yang's emphasis on this, but it didn't matter to any of today's voters. So he dropped out.

The difference here is that some people didn't like Trump's demeanor/didn't take him seriously as you said, whereas in Biden's case, the examples I mentioned are signs of old age and a deteriorating mind. When I said "question if he is suitable to be president" in regards to Biden, I meant that he will be seen as a senile old man, which is much different then not liking one's demeanor.

This was merely an example of one of the results of a $15 minimum wage, the more important example I stated was higher living costs. But the main thing I am trying to say is, the market will respond to such a massive change, and it will be a response that is highly negative to the average worker with things such as: layoffs, reduced working hours, reduced benefits or higher prices to name a few. When I took my first economics course in college, this was a big part of one of the chapters, it discussed how it's been proven that drastic increases in the minimum wage will do a lot more harm than good.

I… never really thought about it that way. If that's the case then yes, I'd agree it would hurt his chances. But I'm skeptical if people actually see it this way. It reminds me of folks saying that Hilary was dying, which everyone had long since forgotten about by election time.

I understand that you only meant that as one small example to your overall point; I just latched onto it because I think it's a pretty significant concern to which no one's really paying much attention. It was nice to see someone mention it, even if only in passing.

Trump will win. In the last 4 years, he has really done no more harm than Obama did in 8 years. Is Trump the best candidate? Absolutely not and any die-hard Trump supporter who claims he is the "best President in American history" has lost their moral compass. In spite of this, he does have some good policies and he is far more moderate than most people assume, I mean hell--he was a registered Democrat for the majority of his life. The issue with the modern Democratic party is they have an agenda and it is way too left for any moderate or even swing-Republican to vote for, regardless of their dislike for Trump. Democrats have yelled for years "look how diverse we are!" "get the white men out of Washington!" -- yet look at their last two remaining candidates.

I have always been a extremely moderate in politics, leaning a bit left in some instances and Trump is by absolutely no means who I want in a President, though just like in 2016, he is the lesser of the evils (metaphorically speaking). While no matter who the President is, nothing will get done. I do not want to imagine this country voting socialism into stronger presence in the name of liberalism. I know what Trump will do as a President, especially in terms of national security and defense, and I would much prefer another 4 years of him than vote a risk into office.

I will leave you with one of my favorite political quotes;

"...Norman Thomas, six times candidate for President on the Socialist Party ticket, said that the American people would never vote for socialism but he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program."
- Ronald Reagan

I find it unabashedly ironic that the popular quote about what Norman Thomas said is from Ronald Reagan, instead of, you know… Norman Thomas. Not a quip at you specifically, of course, but I feel it does well to show the "he said, she said" mentality we've adopted. We don't care to look into what the man himself said throughout his apparent six times running, but we're perfectly content with the summary of a man with completely oppositional opinions. And I don't just use the word "we" as a way to avoid looking condescending, I'm genuinely no exception to any of this.

Anyway, about the topic at hand. I too consider myself a moderate and a centrist. People like to mock and make fun and pretend that the only possible reason to hold this position is because I'm too afraid to have an opinion. That, quite frankly, is bullshit. I just don't buy into every extreme either side holds.

As such, all I want to ask is this: is this really the big problem? Is this really our top priority? Does it have any right to be? Really? Really?

*Bernie enters the chat.*

In all honesty, neither Biden or Trump seems like a comfortable pick. It’s just figuring out the lesser of two evils between these grandpas.
