On another site I was a moderator on for a time, there was a feature that didn't allow users to use the word moderator in their personal title thing. I'm not sure if there's a similar feature on here but if not, I'd like one implemented. This filter should include the word trusted because it is misleading and leads to

This filter should retroactively affect any users with a current title including the word trusted. Comment other words/phrases that should also be forbidden.

We used to blacklist 'Trusted' and 'Official' from user titles but I removed it a year or two ago because I didn't see the reason we had it at the time since users can pick whatever they want, but I now agree with your point.

We should be blacklisting certain words from user titles. Does anyone have any suggestions about other words than 'Trusted', 'Official', 'Verified', 'Reputable'?

People are using unicode characters to type out 'Trusted' as well. That's another issue that needs to be addressed.

If the users previously had the title (if I can recall correctly) it doesn't do anything. This is for future titles. Is there any way to combat this?

Not without manipulating them through the database, but if someone has it at the moment once they change it they won't be able to get it anymore so it should sort itself out over time which I think is good enough.

That's so specific that I don't see the point in doing it for that, but what are your thoughts on us just blocking people from saying MC-Market in their usertitles?

It can't hurt and would be helpful to avoid confusion. Also would make their titles look less MCM official

As much as I also agree that users calling themselves Entrepreneurs is pretty gross, it doesn't really break any of our rules or imply anything harmful so we'll be keeping it

Professional? People always call themselves "professional" managers or whatever, but in reality, they provide awful services

Yeah, people will be really upset by this one, but it'd be good to avoid confusion

We've added in a bunch of words to the block list now as I mentioned above.
