Trying to gain a steady player-base.

Hi, so before I start this I'd like to pre-face this by saying the server has been up for a month now. We average around 5-15 players on weekdays, and 10-25 on weekends. I'm trying really hard to get the server name out their but I seem to be running into a lot of dead ends.

So far, I've sent around 30 emails to various YouTubers with a budget of around 200+ and have gotten no responses. Yesterday(Friday) I purchased a slot for an hour and gained 0 players from it. So, my dilemma is that I can't find ways to grow my player count. If anyone has any suggestions comment down below anything will help.

Im not trying to be mean, I'm just saying that based off your other comments on how no one came on your server.. maybe your server just isn't anything special?

Well it's not that they joined and left - it's that they simply didn't join. I don't think you can really tell if a server is "generic" just by looking at it's on banner on Minecraft-MP.

• Your Website / GFX

We'll start here. From advertisement sites a certain percentage will visit the website and if it's not so appealing then they'll most likely be like "eh this is disgusting, seems like this server is shit". I suggest looking into getting your website "spruced" up with a new theme and such.

Your banner is eh, not appealing at all once again. Sorry to say it in such a mean way but it's true. If you're wanting to gain players from a website like PMC they will judge it off appearance from the Banner and whatever else is shown. Ask around on the forums for a good and fast graphics designer who will be within your price range to give you a hand with a new banner.

If you wanted to switch from Enjin to a free software (requires MySQL & Your own webhost) then I suggest using "Nameless". This is a free Minecraft Website Software and works amazing! I have not seen anything that is on the server so I wont go into too much about it but all I will say is add in nice and unique ideas that'll make people to join to try out and such.

I used to play on your server before you bought it like a year ago. I enjoyed it but I hated how it was constantly resetting. Then when it went down for like a year and I checked it out a year later, I didn't think it was professional at all. The mod was telling me to not go on and play because it was a waste of time. I understand that you want players but look at your staff first. Your spawn is mediocre and there isn't anything special about your server that people will be dying to play. For example, saicopvp has the head plugin where they are able to sell heads. Enchantedpvp is just your regular server and with people playing minecraft going down, you are going to haft to think of a good plugin. BTW my username is ryanl20

I reccomend using slots, not youtubers. minecraftservers.org is a great way to get traction of players; With as low as a $100 slot, you can gain thousands of players within a days/weeks.

Why not youtubers?

I did a video with deadlox (couple of them) (before he quit mc), and they did very well. The server even got to 70 players at one point (consistant 30-40 daily). Then after he stopped making videos, all the players left, leaving me with my original 10-20 player base. They left because they are fanboys of Deadlox, and only play on servers he plays on, attempting to meet him; not because "was bad".

Yeah, I'm going to be looking into the minecraftserver.org slots soon, I just had a bad expirence with a Minecraft-Mp one before.

That doesn't mean it needs to be on a whitelist, you could create another world and use world edit to copy and paste it.
