So I've been trying to learn JavaScript for a while now, but I haven't found anything that helped me out at all. I don't have any experience with JavaScript whatsoever. So I was wondering if people could maybe teach me the basics or something over TS or Skype, or maybe guide me to a website or video that could help. Thanks!

Your just going to pick up their shitty practices. Literally just google it. JavaScript is extensively documented.

the developer market is so oversaturated, no one will help you become their competition
This is completely incorrect. Software development is the most lucrative job you could get - There's so many positions available and the recruitment process is a long one as there is such a small quantity of people with the correct knowledge and skills to fill a position. This is also why developers earn so much money, as well as receive bonuses.

I hope you know that Java and JavaScript are two entirely different things.

JavaScript cannot be used to make Minecraft plugins (yet lol, who knows what the future holds).

Good luck.

Care to explain?
For example, Arkham have a system, whereby they have the majority of there features are written in JavaScript, but are "connected" via Java. It takes a strong skill-set to accomplish as-such, but it allows further diversity, as well as the benefits within JavaScript.

Well, I must be behind the times then. Thanks for clarifying.

Ewww, you're making a mistake, unless you're just trying to get into node.js by learning JavaScript, then I understand you.

JavaScript can be used to make backends of sites, make iPhone, and Android apps, make apps for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Learn JavaScript, Java is dying, it's only used because old software uses it. Be hip. Learn JavaScript.

Ive heard apple doesn't accept web apps. I don't know about android though.
They won't accept apps that are more web that actual native code. Although React Native actually transpiles JS into the native language.
