Hello Everyone,
I am looking to do away with my message boards and just keep a simple landing page up. Looking at traffic patterns, no one uses the forums, everyone is very active on discord.

I have already migrated the helpdesk system to discord, but I can't find a way to bring over the tutorials where they can be displayed in a neat and organized way. Have any of you done this? I want to avoid setting up a channel for each game mode and forcing users to scroll through message after message of tutorials. If so, what did you do?

I especially like the idea of a wiki where users can see a list of needed tutorials and create new ones as needed that can be approved by staff, but I do not want to link them to an outside website. It would be amazing if discord had sub categories or something like that.

Thanks for time and ideas! :)

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

hi there,

I am currently working on setting up a forum, even though I know people barely use them - I want a place to keep all that stuff.

For me I have been adding some into discord and I do plan to keep the guides (and add more) there as discord is our main form of communication outside the game.

I don't know if there are any fancy bots or other means of how to do that? I recently just switched to corebot, and they have a lot of addons and features, plus you can suggest features too. I am loving it and still learning lots about it.

I am very curious too as to the feedback you get on this.

I know you said you didn't want to have separate channels, in our community that's currently how we are doing it. I have them set up as channels, but people can't talk in them, it's just a place for the specific guides. I have it this way so information isn't lost in a bunch of chatter. Like I said, this too is a work in process for me too.

Good luck! Surely there must servers out there that have things all organized very efficiently.

You can create channels and make a channel for reaction roles. So players can click on one reaction to see the specific channel. You can also make the reactions unique which means he sees one channel at a time.

Thanks for the core bot idea, i'm gonna have to check it out. I gotta say i wouldn't mind having channels for them, but to keep it organized it would just be soo many channels. For example, I the MC network has 3 game modes, and then I am putting up a 7 Days to Die server as well. I eventually plan on adding other games as well. It isn't terrible when you have just 1 game type, but if you look at minecraft, the servers have a lot of plugins that add to them and can get complex, so it just ends up being like 10 channels of just tutorials...

[DOUBLEPOST=1614380378][/DOUBLEPOST]That is a great idea, would you happen to know of any bots that are good for this? To play around with the config, I have dynobot for now, could i do a reaction role panel, and just set it so that you can only see the channel when you have the role? What are your thoughts on removing the role? Time based removal or manual?

Thanks for the idea!

Carlbot is the best just use reaction roles and unique so they can just click on another one and the other reaction gets removed
