Hi there.

Recently, a website made was by K3Feedz that was bought by Ajdin/Mick (whoever owned MCM at the time).

Many users were banned for advertising it, including a user named Shortninja.

As the domain now redirects to MCM, you should unban the users that advertised it /promoted it /linked people to it.

I'd love to hear your feedback!
Regards

These users made their choice to advertise and betray the Market. Who's to say they won't do this again if another ripoff site comes around? They broke the rules and they should continue to suffer the consequences.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that most the people here agree with this suggestion because some of their friends were banned. Just because they seem like nice people doesn't allow them to disobey the rules and get away with it. I won't lie, Anthony and Fox were my friends but does that mean I want them to come back after what they did? Hell no.

If your banned you stay banned. Most people banned for advertising did it to cover something. I don't know the full story behind all of them but my thoughts are if your banned you stay banned.

While there are many users who were banned for this who I'd like to see come back, like bigbubba, most of them knew they were breaking the rules at the time and chose to do so anyways. I recall specifically telling BigBubba and Devian not to be retarded and not to get banned for something as stupid as that, and they chose to anyways. Does one stupid mistake warrant a permanent ban? Probably not. But the issue is highly complicated by the fact that many of the banned members chose to scam on their way out of the site, like Fox.

We all have a laundry list of old friends on this site that we'd like to see unbanned, but the reality is that if you unban one person, it opens the door for tons of people to be unbanned who really shouldn't be here.

I typically stay within the web-market forum on this website, so I don't know any of the users who got banned, but if they literally broke the rules, which are stated clearly, and emphasized over, and over again on this forum, then they shouldn't be exempt from the same punishments that everyone else has to face and avoid, no matter the current status of that domain's ownership.

Despite the current stance of the domain. I think their intentions were still to purposely go against the rules knowing they'd be banned. I also don't exactly see the benefit in this at all. Sorry but I disagree.

you get banned on most minecraft servers for advertising other servers, this is a minecraft forum, so its expected to have similar rules, besides that quite a lot of websites or forums ban the use/name of competitor sites .
The rules are plain and simple, if you dont like it no1 is forcing you to stay here. the people who got banned knew about the rules, it doesnt matter if its a petty or stupid rule its the rules in place and if you are wanting to change the rule you do it in a proper mature adult way like this suggestion forum, not by going out in a blaze of douchery

That's irrelevant.

Just because the site was a massive fail doesn't mean these users should be forgiven. They were prepared to break rules for a competitor as they thought it'd be a new MCM.

Also, commenting about individual users to get them unbanned won't help. If they broke rules, they will remain banned.

I assume this thread will now be archived?

So let me get this straight. Someone used to advertise a competitor which didn't go so good, but the link turned out to be mcm?

Yes. The owner of MCM at the time bought the domain and it now redirects to MCM.
Sigh, it's a very 50 50 thing here. I mean was there a site before besides mcm tho which was lead by the advertisers?

I bought the domain for personal interest. Not to gain traffic or anything from it so that's irrelevant.

That's beside the point. If any users followed the old adverts they'd come right back to MCM.
If any users followed rules they wouldn't be banned.
