Uncensor Discord Links

For some reason, MC-Market censors Discord server invites, which is really stupid. Now, I understand that it is most likely for Discord servers that have no use on being on MC-Market, but alot of companies use Discord as a platform for communication.

Discord is a great way to contact clients and help them if they need anything. For example; DreamSetups Discord. It's a place where potential clients can talk, ask questions, etc. But now, I have to add them on Skype THEN give them the Discord link.

It would be very helpful, and remove a lot of un necessary steps if Discord was uncensored.

As the manager of two companies that heavily rely on Discord to manage sales and clients, I do believe that the links should be uncensored. However, there are multiple ways to get around the blocked links as other users have found, so it isn't too big of a deal, but it becomes quite a hassle sometimes. Allowing those links does not pose a real threat and it would be much easier to take down the links that don't comply with the TOS rather than disable all of them and have users complain, or have to allow just a certain number of them that have to do with businesses like setup companies, and or server hosts, etc.

I agree, it's like censoring skype names. It just causes more complications with sales.

I agree. I'm trying to bring more attention to my GTA service by hosting free drops in discord, but since I can't post links in the thread, there's literally no attention unless I give it to all my customers on skype

Im pretty sure discord names are already allowed, just as skype names are. Whereas both skype group chats and discord server links are blocked.

It wouldn't. It certainly does make it 100x harder to do than simply putting a link though.

They are removed and the user is warned for advertising an external gang or community.

Discord links were banned a while ago because a bunch of members were creating server owner chats which they then spammed across the forum. It was plain annoying and nobody cared because discord was tiny. This was over 2 years ago now and it's not secret that discord is considered a primary form of communication within the gaming community. I believe it should be allowed with some good guidelines. E.g no advertising of discord servers which compete with MCM. Keeping it censored is basically absurd now as discord has bypassed skype within the gaming community and you're literally working against the system.

If Mick used discord, he'd understand. He dislikes discord for some reason so he probably doesn't want to bother with it being allowed again.

Alias? We're talking about discord groups/servers. As soon as you click on the link you can see the name and logo of the server.
