Hi everyone! I'm looking to sell this MMORPG server. I created it using mythic mobs code and a mashup of a bunch of plugins.

I'd like someone to take this server off my shoulders. I've found better endeavors to chase than creating minecraft servers.

Important info about the server:

- Supports all versions 1.12-1.14
- Is a challenging MMORPG server, takes the average player about 40 hours to get to the final boss. ~55 hours for people looking to play on NG+, ~80 hours to 100% the game and beat the secret boss
- PvP system for added playertime after 100% the game
- Revenue is gained through loot keys and ranks.
- Has a discord with 100 members (will be included for free)
- Has Had over 600+ unique logins in a week in it's hayday
- Has made about $400 through buycraft and developmental donations
- An edited trailer with your IP can be uploaded to the channel

This server is not for everyone. It's aimed at player's who like challenging but fair games. I'm sure someone with a more established server network and a more capable advertiser could make serious bank off this server.

> If you want to try out or take a look at the server, the IP is mcultimate.us.to
> Head into the left portal

The server will go to the highest bidder by 7/10/2019 (if I'm happy with the price, otherwise I'll keep it)
Bid increments of $50

If you have your doubts about this server log in and check it out. The showcase video doesn't do the best job of showing the server off.

WHEN DEALING: I provide my address to you, you will provide your address to me. (only when the bidding has expired) We will exchange mail in order to prove your intent to buy, and my intent to deliver. You must have atleast 5 rep dealing with money if you would like to not do this process. You can also exchange using crypto if you'd like.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Why not just use a middleman? Isn't that what they are used for? Also can you link the third party website?

Except the person who bid $600 has 0 rep. :p Kinda risky to do business with someone who has never participated on this site and has 0 rep (imo) when it comes to such a large sum of money. Cryptocurrency (no chargebacks) would probably be the best way to do this but would be a pain probably.

Happy to pay half first.

Not much reason to participate when most of the servers posted here aren't actually established or currently even online at all but I've been lurking a long time looking for something to start a network with and this seems like a good fit.

Plus Lerfing is the servers biggest asset - I'd value paying for future development over ripping someone off. Even if I was ethically bankrupt it wouldn't make good business sense.

If you are bankrupt I don't feel like buying this would be a good choice to make.
Although it's your life. I feel like having a big budget is a must for this type of gamemode since you rarely see these built and sold finished. Having a plan for future expansions (BIG content updates, not just small additions and bug fixes) could make this server very popular, however even other big MMORPG servers with 1k+ of players constantly online don't have updates all that often that introduce massive expansions to their worlds. Plus they usually have limited worlds so that lag isn't a problem limiting 30-60 or so players per server on a network. (If you don't know what I mean by this: A network with multiple game modes each game mode having multiple servers. Splitting players across multiple game servers would reduce a huge amount of lag due to world/chunk updates from many players.)

A dedicated server would definitely help out with the whole multi server game modes. However multiple small servers would work out too if you want a cheaper option.

(Yes I know you said "If you were")

Edit added to post: No longer using a 3rd party website. Will exchange letters through mail with users intent to buy, and my intent to deliver. This is commonly used when dropshipping or exchanging large amounts of money online. (will require exchanging addresses)

This video does a very good job of what to do in deals like this, for everyone who wants some useful info doing this in the future :p
Source:

The letters passed along will serve as a receipt, as well as proof that both parties intend to go through with the deal. It won't be anything formal like a legal document or anything. It also shows proof of a tangible product which is important.

Well crap I guess my bid won't work then if dent decides to bail out of this. (Just saying IF since some people have done this.) Also I don't feel ok with giving out my address to someone without a huge reputation.

I feel a solution to this payment would be instead of addresses, you could require some one to provide their email, send the files through the email that is connected with their paypal and ask them to provide some personal information(Such as a screenshot) from their paypal, and additionally I've seen some people use a paypal business account for large payments like this.

Also using a Physical way of selling is a huge security risk on the buyer, since if you are intending to sell this as a physical product(assuming the files are on a external hard drive or usb drive) since those types could have potential malicious files on them. I know this is also a risk with digital purchases too, but the main reason I feel people may not be ok with this deal is due to it requiring personal information that can be used maliciously on this site or off-site(it doesn't matter if it's only a single piece of information that is used.) Also people can use a false address, such as a friends or somewhere else. Something to protect the buyers privacy would make a buyer feel better about buying this if they knew the information they are sending would be protected. (No one wants random Packages showing up out of nowhere because of their information being spread around.)

However, if you plan on just sending/receiving a physical letter of confirmation of a purchase and then sending the files virtually, how can you be sure the user still can't say they didn't receive their product? Also it's not hard to forge a signature.

Keep in mind, I wrote this as I was watching the video.

The actual signature doesn't matter. They show intent to buy by returning the letter. Idk why you say it's a huge security risk to the buyer... We're not exchanging usbs with viruses or anything. The point is to show intent of purchasing from both parties. This does very well to provide proof that there was no mistake in purchasing. I won't be spreading information around, and I trust that the other party won't spread my info either (not that I really care about my address, it's basically out there on the net anyways already) I think it's a perfectly reasonable request with such a large sum of money being used to be able to do this. Using a fake address of a friend over a minecraft server is just kind of insane too. I don't think anyone would go that far for just server files.

Added: You can also exchange crypto if you'd like to avoid the address thing
