We were discussing the matter of an unranked user looking to capitalize or lowercase their name, for example, jdsgames -> Jdsgames.

Generally, name changes require the rank of Premium or higher.
However, I believe in this case that the name is not changing, and the charge would be unnecessary.

For starters, many websites auto-capitalize the first initial of a username for display purposes.
Which means that the capitalization of the initial doesn't change the name, and is instead a formality.

Secondly, many applications respond to @jdsgames and @Jdsgames the same way and ignore the capitalization, similar to the display purposes previously stated.

For these reasons, I believe this would be a reasonable change and would like to see your opinions about it.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I'm pretty unsure where I stand on this and would love more feedback (especially from staff).

I can't think of a reason why not?

If any non-Premium user would like the capitalisation of their name changed you can create a ticket to do so, but we won't be custom developing a solution to do this automatically considering how incredibly rare it is for us to receive these requests.

I'll move this to the archive, thanks
