Update: MC-Admin merged, NBCF Results, and Contest Information!

Hello all! Today we have a few very exciting announcements to make regarding changes to MC-Market.

MC-Admin Merging

MC-Admin was a division of MC-Market that was focused around administrating a Minecraft server. We decided that since MC-Admin wasn't getting the attention that it deserved or the userbase that was initially expected, we would merge it with MC-Market so that it doesn't completely die. What does this mean for you? Nothing. Everything will be exactly the same but now MC-Market will have all of the features that MC-Admin had, minus the price of premium and other donation perks.

Another important note about this is that anyone who has purchased Premium on MC-Admin will be refunded. If I haven't contacted you already but you are Premium there, please send me a message.​

NBCF Results

Although this information is slightly delayed, we appreciate absolutely all of the donations that were received for Breast Cancer awareness. Together MC-Market raised a grand total of $390 USD Minus PayPal fees. So that we can get to $400, I will also donate another $31.84 which brings the total up to $400 USD raised for the NBCF! Even though we didn't reach our goal of $500 it was still an absolutely amazing effort, especially for our first ever charity fundraiser!

Contest Information

MC-Market is hosting it's second ever contest! This contest will be focused on design and in particular designing a new default cover photo for MC-Market users. You may submit as many alternatives or different designs to the contest to greaten your chance at winning (to an extent). This contest will be judged by the MC-Market staff team and the contest will end on the 1st of January 2016.

What this cover photo must be:

- The dimensions of 1920x391
- Simple and sleek
- Your 100% best effort (no fake or silly entries)
- Using the MC-Market logo or text that says MC-Market

How to submit your entry

To submit your entry send a private message to Mick with a full sized image of your entry uploaded to a photo sharing website such as imgur.com.

The prize

The prize is debatably the best part of a contest, especially to the winner. The prize is:
- Your cover photo used on MC-Market for the for-seeable future
- The 'Contest Winner' Medal
- $50 PayPal or $50 Steam

I didn't specify that I had donated that amount for reputation, I did that so that people would actually understand what was going on and why we said that we had raised $390 worth of name colors but had $400 worth of donations. Even if people did say that just so that people think more of themselves, I see no problem with it. Do you expect us to introduce a rule saying that you can't brag which could lower the amount of donations received?

Here's a draft of a new idea I was trying out:

What is it? Well, it defines exactly what MC-Market is: a community, so I implemented that with over 75 users profile pics as the background.
I didn't put the "MC-Market #1 Trades & Sales forum" part, since anyone who is on MCM currently ofcourse knows, and it is sort of unneccessary.

I know this might not be the best submission out of the ones in this thread, but I had fun making it and I'm proud of myself for the outcome. Good luck to the rest of the users entering!
