1.13 Do not post content which contains ‘spoilers’ of movies, tv shows, or other anticipated content.

Update this rule to have a specific point in time after the release of any anticipated content where members of the community are allowed to post threads discussing such content. That way, nobody will unintentionally break this rule trying to post potential spoilers immediately following a release.

If need be, another requirement to this could be that users must post a disclaimer alongside their posts even after the allotted time is up.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I disagree, but not really.

I think there should be a rule 1.13.1, that says "Spoilers or information about blablabla can be released after XYZ time" or something like that

if you're going to post spoilers just put a disclaimer or have threads in that certain area go through staff approval or something

So same thing Kappa[DOUBLEPOST=1556588913][/DOUBLEPOST]

Someone put a disclaimer for endgame the other day going over spoilers and they got a warning I’m pretty sure. I don’t disagree that all there really needs to be is a disclaimer and a user is fine but I guess that’s not enough xD

This would result in increasing staff workload. Threads from endgame would be hopefully approved by 2023.

could just hire staff just for this though?

What’s the point of that though? If someone breaks this rule the staff can simply just remove the post and administer warning points as they always have. No sense in creating more work for our already busy staff members.

Endgame spoiler
Han Solo dies

Edit: As I spoiled above, I feel you should be fine to spoil in threads as long as you have a spoiler tag.

Personally I think that this is a better idea, and we should allow spoilers on threads as long as they are clearly marked. I would like for users to be able to make threads to discuss endgame and other big movies, and if it is all done within threads with spoiler tags (being very clearly marked), then I think that would be a good change to make.

Does anyone have any more feedback on this?

This is a decent idea, and the thread title should also need

Second that.

Love how you revived this after months.

I'll move this to pending. I'd like for us to adjust the wording of the spoiler rule to clarify that posting spoilers are okay when it's clearly marked and put in spoiler tags in a thread, but can't think of an elegant way to phrase that right now.

Thanks for the suggestion
