CPU: AMD FC(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce FTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16 GB
currently these are my specs, however I barely get 60 fps while streaming, should I upgrade and get a new cpu or buy a whole new comp/build one that is all around better but for more money?

your cpu is basically a bottleneck, I recommend buying a new one immediately

I'd recommend buying a new cpu but with that you will have to buy a new motherboard...

My PC Specs are an i7-7700 and a gtx 1060 3gb and I get stable 120 FPS streaming Fortnite medium settings 1080p.
If you get a better CPU, you'll get wayy better performance for sure.

Your cpu's socket is old. It'll be hard to find a cpu with the same socket, plus I dont know what DDR Ram you have. Otherwise I'd recommend upgrading CPU, and motherboard if your ram is still compatible.[DOUBLEPOST=1535947830][/DOUBLEPOST]

Buy a used gaming setup off craigslist or eBay. You gotta see the FPS and u get a hella good deal

Used parts are good, but they are hard for a newcomer to know what a good deal is.

I have the same problem I bought an amd cpu when I didn't know how much it would affect me, I'm probably just going to buy one of the new cpus and thats it.

That's not how it works, lol, you also need a compatible motherboard


as for OP, I would recommend getting a new motherboard + cpu bundle, you will also need to buy a new ram because the ones you currently have are DDR3 not DDR4,

I would recommend getting a Ryzen 7 2700x with a new motherboard, also a fast 16GB DDR4 ram, and you can also sell that old cpu, motherboard, and ram if you want. [I may be interested in buying them ]
