Upgrading a Laptop?

I was thinking about getting an upgrade for my Lenovo 700 ;
16 GB Ram
Nvidia gtx 960M <--- crappy I think its 2gb vram, not entirely sure.
Intel core i7 6700HQ (quad core)

I was thinking about getting a GPU enclosure ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P...7_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JQ9AQ7DZ8VYJX1G317E7 ) Yes, I will use it at home only, since I only play there.
And something like GTX 1050

Or should I just make a new PC?

If it's a home only machine. I recommend building yourself a new PC. It's the best thing I have ever done. Not only did I learn a lot about hardware, but I saved money, and get to brag about it.
