I've been using Proxmox for the better part of a year now, and I'll never go back. I highly recommend it to everyone who has a decently beefy dedi.

You might be asking, why would I need to host VPS' off my dedi when I have Docker?
Well, Docker is awesome and all, but sometimes you need a Windows VPS or a different distro of Linux. Sometimes for your application there isn't a Docker image available, and sometimes, you just need an extra VPS.

It also has a very nice web panel with SSH/RDP access, backups, and a ton more.

Anyways, that's my rant, hope you take a look!

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

virtualizor is better - change my mind
Proxmox is open source, and is free. If you're looking for a paid solution, I might agree

I fully agree with this message, it's free, open sourced, plus good ol server clusters are an option.

Depends on whether you want to deal with the joys of keeping your own hypervisor up to date. For most of my applications, Kubernetes, standalone Docker, or paying for VMs on-demand per-hour from hyperscalers is typically better. I rather not have to deal with another layer on top of managing the VMs themselves.

I agree, I like k8 clusters too and standalone is also amazing. Paying on-demand is also amazing, but it's very costly, and for people with a single dedi, Proxmox imo is the best solution
