I'm thinkinng - why dont we just use the 700 ish emojis from unicode? Isn't it free or something.

What became a thing? I can't see any emotes (idk if that's just me or XenForo stripping it).

Yeah, there are no intentions to implement the unicode smilies at the moment, I'd rather stick with the xenForo set we have for consistency.
