Users shouldn't just say "Refunded" when scam reports are posted against them.

Too many times I've seen people respond to reports against them by saying something along the lines of "Refunded" after scamming someone to avoid their ban. This, to me, is completely broken. Someone scams someone, and can just refund the person if they decide to report them, and not get banned? It honestly doesn't make sense to me.

I obviously didn't go into too much detail, but I think you guys get the point.

I don't think the point of a scam report is meant to prevent the scam, its to reverse it, the refund does an excellent job of doing this, most users choose to go banned.

True, I get where you're coming from. It's that there are people that scam on this website, and can just get around it by refunding the person they scammed. Just doesn't seem right to me.

Technically if someone refunds the person, there is no longer a scam. The person who has opened the report has lost nothing, since they got their money back.

Sometimes people open a report, because there has been a disagreement and they cant resolve it themselves. So they need M6 to tell one of them to refund the other. Or sort out some kind of agreement. (partial refund, completion of extra work etc). A scam report when opend can end in so many diffrent ways. Refund is just one of them.

If something still happens to you, even thought you refunded the person. People would be less likely to agree to do that.

In a way something does still happen even if they refund you. There is nothing to stop you leaving that person a - rep.

Pretty much this. Alot of scam reports are more complex then blatant scamming.

Also, if a user would get banned even tho they refunded, they would lose alot of the incentive to refund. In the end, most scam reports are made as a attempt to get the money/product back or cover the damages, not to ban the person. This suggestion would damage scam reports system, not make it better.
