vegas pro 12 sound issue

hey

i use vegas pro 12 but there isnt any sound in it? there used to be but now its gone. the sound bar is there, but its not playing. I can also see the "volume meter" jumping up and down so there IS sound, but I cant hear it. In other programs such as movie maker or just playing the video itself works completely fine. I can also render it and when it is rendered the sound will work completely fine, but not while editing.

I use Vegas a lot but I haven't encountered this specified error? It may seem as if the program is corrupted in a way, I suggest attempting to reinstall it and see if that fixes the problem. Tbough if it still continues not playing sound while editing then I guess you'll have to just go with it, considering that you've stated it worked perfectly fine after rendering. So yeah just try reinstalling it.
