Hey there, I'm the owner over at Venus Hosting and we are currently looking for support representatives and technical support engineers. All these roles will be voluntary roles but hopefully paid in the near future.

Technical Support Engineer
Job brief
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs.

Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include resolving (our) website issues, configuring install systems and using FTP to provide immediate support. You will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to IT issues.

To be qualified for this role, you should be interested and have experience in things like like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, Microsoft, Linux etc. If you’re naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and are able to explain technical details simply, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and website configuration
  • Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Talk clients through a series of actions, either via email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. developers)
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients
Requirements
  • Some kind of work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Support Representative
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems, website systems, HTML etc
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with applications like Discord, WHMCS etc
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help.

Customer Service Representative
Job brief
We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative.
What does a Customer Service Representative do?
A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.

The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk. Customer service representatives can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and these CSRs can gather that for you. Problem-solving also comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints.

The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Manage chats and emails
  • Generate sales leads
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Meet personal/customer service team sales targets
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers
Requirements
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with websites, WHMCS etc
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Hey,

No, not currently. We are planning on expanding and this will be the next thing we do. I understand business should register at the start but this wasnt really on our mind but it has come to attention recently.

Think what you want mate, but I dont see you hosting a hosting company.
You should register the company or people will spam you with "summer host". That's what everyone thinks when they see a hosting company that isn't registered. Most descent hosts run by mature people are registered, as they can get them registered. Good luck!
