Verification for business accounts

Hello dear MCM,

as there's a lot of "companies" on MCM with business accounts I think it would be a good idea to have additional rank or badge for business account.

Addition rank or badge would be called "Verified" and it would let clients know if it's really registered/legal company or if it's just some 14 yo behind it.

How would it look (just a quick example):

yeah this is actually a good idea, the one for normal accounts would require way too much work and is completely unreasonable but I could see this working with business accounts

Yes, but I forgot that 90% of MCM is 14 yo and that they will get offended and disagree

i feel like this will take a significant amount of time to implement and staff time is obviously not something copiously available.

i also disagree with using the word verified, it gives the impression that the account is automatically trustworthy without regard to who is actually behind it.

not that actually, it’s just fucking useless

To you maybe it's useless, someone will find it useful and would feel safer to buy product/services from registered company and not get scammed.

Not really, that would be rank which would be requested with support ticked.
Not that many tickets would be created as only few have actually registered company.

regardless of the number of companies, support tickets already take forever without an added use. there will also be those troll accounts that attempt to get ‘verified’ with no company. i would hope admin+ are the only staff members handing out this rank. when it comes to tickets they’re subpar at replying.

staff time is the issue, they already have enough to deal with.

If you're looking like that then all of the suggestions should be denied because it requires time to implement or maintain.
This is really easy suggestion, and I think staff would find few minutes in week or two to review the support request.

Instead of implementing a system like this to all business accounts, we have instead decided to implement new categorisation to our hosting forum since that was where the real problems were. Splitting our hosting forum up into verified/unverified sections allows for us to make it extremely easy for users to navigate and view all verified/unverified hosts.
