Hey,

Would be neat to have something like "Verified Freelancer" where their name has a tick or a badge. This would give clients more trust in the freelancers on this platform as well as providing a better way for freelancers to actually charge their worth.

I feel this would also help with like a minimum pricing or better pricing structure as the amount of people that expect $500 projects with $15 is insane.

This has been a growing problem on the Internet for a while, but it appears to be especially prevalent here where most buyers and freelancers are under 18.

Having a "Verified freelancer" badge would probably hold mc-market/BuiltByBit to be more responsible for scammers scamming

I guess that wouldn't be as much of a problem if super reputable people could only apply for that badge, like 500+ rep. But even reputable people scam sometimes, especially when payment is getting sent directly to them.

The suggestion is good, but VactumPlays got a good point too.
Probably if this suggestion heads to be approved a middleman system is required to be put between the client and the freelancer.
The reputation system is already a good way to check if the freelancer can be trustworthy, but even that doesn't fully guarantee anything.

As is mentioned above, if BuiltByBit actively 'verified' freelancers, it would appear to most people as if the site/company was endorsing them directly and guaranteeing them against scams - in any event, this could not ever possibly be the case. This couldn't even be the system with approved middlemen, as how does BuiltByBit guarantee that they won't scam? I can just foresee the backlash when a supposed 'verified freelancer' exit scams.

Either way, I believe the reputation system works as described, given users can give a binary positive/negative, as well as a comment explaining their deal. Even if a verified freelancers system was implemented, the reputation system would still provide more of an insight into a person's dealings and character.

Your price range suggestion could possibly work, although I feel that if people want to outline their price range, they can do this on their thread.

Yep. I don't like the idea of us implying that anyone is officially a trusted person. Our reputation system allows buyers and sellers to assess each other to decide whether or not they want to work with each other, and I feel like this system works very well. Freelancers and creators should feel comfortable with setting their prices to whatever level they feel comfortable with regardless of whether they're official according to us.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
