jQuery is so 2017...
jQuery is still very popular and widely used, though I do admit many frameworks have become more prevalent, such as React, Vue, and Angular. However, for static websites, just jQuery is better.

JQuery is rather big though, and pretty much everything JQuery does you can do easily using just vanilla js

Also, don't think a comparision between jquery and react, vue and angular works very well. In my opinion at least they are very different

True. But Bootstrap (which is very popular) does rely on jQuery.
