View count for support tickets

Well heres the official word;

So support tickets count views as the number of times it's been "opened/refreshed". Can get panicky sometimes. The suggestion is to limit this per users instead of an "open/refresh".

if I remember right, it should be assigned to a specific type of staff member, and as soon as someone starts responding, it's locked to that person. I dont know what the request is about since the title says NOTHING of value, but sometimes staff will hesitate about replying because it means that THEY have to deal with it.

That would be under the old addon, which was powered by NixFifty tickets. It was ditched a while ago due to some major bugs in the system. The current ticketing system is just a forum section like any other with special permissions.

I don't really see why the amount of views it has received matters to be honest with you. Why does it matter if a request has been viewed a dozen times?

It simply doesn’t. Staff sometimes just have better things to do with their time other than replying to a support request about someone’s OCD for a small bug.
