If this is allowed, people who are rich can make a bunch of accounts, buy a rank, and spam the forum. Whoever then saw those accounts' post will possibly think they're reputable due to a rank (since why would anyone who spent money on a rank want to be banned?) and get tricked to click on links.

No one should be exempt from this rule as it's fair. Creating an exemption of people with rank is unfair.
