Vouch Copies

Hey MC-M , I've only been here for a few hours now, and I've noticed one common thing that always gets mentioned one way or another, that thing is ' Vouch copies '.

I %100 understand what they are and how they work, but that's what I wanted to talk about.

My question is, why do people ONLY give out Vouch Copies to people with higher ratings? I mean yeah sure, they've been here longer and they have more reputation. But what if that person with high rep and ratings is a scammer/devious person. They could be using that alternative personality to trick people who have lower rating and reputation, then make it look like the person with fewer ratings is lying?

I personally believe people should offer Vouch Copies to everyone no matter what their Rating and Reputation count is. I mean people always say that they are only giving out a few vouch copies anyways, why not give it out to a person who either just joined or has fewer ratings then the next guy? How is that newer person supposed to get their ratings up if they can't even be trusted by a person who is giving out something simple, a vouch copy? I honestly don't understand.

The whole point of a vouch copy is to gain reputation for the specific service you are advertising. For example, would you rather buy a product that has a company such as Microsoft backing it, or would you rather buy something backed by some shady company you've never heard of before?

While there are cases of higher rep members being scammers, it's not as common as people who just joined a week ago scamming.

Everyone wants free stuff...
It's just that you have more to gain from a vouch from someone with 500 ratings than a vouch from someone with 1 rating.

But in the end, rating or no ratings, someone can just run off with your product, take it as their own. Leeching off your idea, in the end, who can you really trust?

Basically: You'd get more out of a vouch from a person with 100 ratings compared to one with 4.

I don't believe in that, I would rather give someone new a chance at something, rather then a person who probably been given hundreds of vouch copies. The people with higher ratings don't need anymore, they need less. People with less need more, then when the time comes, they need to be given less.

It's like the american government, the rich stay rich, the poor stay poor. There is no way out of your birth economical place. You're born in to a society that does not care for one another, they only care for themselves. I know that this barely related to vouch copies, but you got to understand that the people with the higher ratings have already been given hundreds of vouch copies, they need to share that reputation.

The reason of vouch copies are for people to understand the user is legit or not. It's real life too. Who would you trust more, some randy you barely know, or a guy with 20 vouches on his profile?

Putting this in a nutshell: No one cares if some 4 rating kid vouches on your profile.

Anyone who asks for a vouch copy wants free stuff. How does having less than 100 ratings somehow make you the only one wanting free things? Some people think that because they have a lot of ratings they can just ask for anything and get it. Greedy is what it is.

Yeah. Here's my solution to this problem; Stop allowing vouch copies to be given out. It's lost profit sellers, and free things for losers. Just use a middleman to not get scammed. Simple as that.
